Pauler and I are reading right now about King Mosiah's brilliance at informing his people about how foolish it would be to want more kings in succession after him...mostly because he's worried for their spiritual safety and because he knew at one time his son was wicked, and so what if they ended up with a king who was wicked (more specifically his son while he was wicked at the time, or what if he became wicked again)?
Suggestion: He wanted them to have a democracy, or more appropriately a sort-of republic with judges and stuff.
King Mosiah was a really awesome king.
