stretchy headbands.  I prefer the thick ones because they don't slide off my head as badly as thinner headbands and they keep the hair that's too short to fit in a pony or gator clip out of my face and give the illusion that my hair is behaving.

I purchased mine from Walmart for 6 dollars.  The pack had five or six headbands in it.  It was worth it.

My only complaint--the fabric has a chemical smell so it gives me headaches.  I would recommend washing them first.
