Fail

Pauler and I like to cook things.

So yesterday we were looking at what was in the fridge.  Well...there wasn't much.

An old bag of potatoes

borrowed milk

Colby-jack cheese

balsamic vinegar (added on a whim)
a stick of butter

and some forgotten flour.

Pauler decided we should make scalloped potatoes.  We don't have any cream of anything soup, I informed him....

That's okay.  Look it up on recipezaar.

We found a recipe that didn't use cream of anything soup.

just milk and flour and salt and pepper and lots and lots of potatoes.

We forgot to put the milk and the flour in.

oops.

Finally, the potatoes turned out...after about two and a half hours (which was one and a half times too long).  We managed to add the milk and flour, and they mostly turned out.
